Having selected custom dress shirt or blouse fabric with the look and feel that is just right for you, next comes a choice of dozens of available cuff and collar design styles. Now it is time for Mr. McKenzie to take your measurements, which he does with quick, deft movements of his tape measure.

One might assume that a custom-ordered shirt can be made from a simple collar and sleeve measurement, of course that is how ready-made shirts are selected. However, Mr. McKenzie also takes shoulder, chest, bicep, for-arm, wrist and hip measurements, all crucial for a contoured fit that prevents bunching up above or around the waist, which is the first sign of a bad fitting shirt.

After deciding on additional options such as buttons, thread color, monogrammed style and placement, the rest is up to the shirt makers at NELSON WADE.

With the production schedule at NELSON WADE for a Custom Dress Shirt, it roughly takes 20-30 days and you will receive a call or email letting you know your perfect-fit shirt is ready. Mr. McKenzie will personally deliver your new Custom Dress Shirt(s) or it will be sent to you by United States Postal – Priority Mail, which normally delivers 2-3 day within the United States and 6-10 days to Canada and rest of the world. A basic Custom Dress Shirt costs a mere $127.00 for men and $95.00 for a woman’s collared blouse, which is less than many comparable ready-made models, leaving you with absolutely no reason to continue buying non-fitting shirts.
