Each Signature Custom Handmade Silk Necktie is made for each individual client. You will receive a signed card of authenticity with a fabric swatch of your custom handmade silk necktie.
Our ties from our Classic and Luxury Necktie Collections average in length of 57 1/2″. But, Signature Custom Handmade Luxury Silk Necktie by NELSON WADE can be made to any size!
We use interior lining that is made of 100 % wool. We sometimes double the layers for a nice weighted tie or add an layer of super velvet soft cotton to give the face side of the tie a very soft feeling. It all depends on the type of fabric.
When you open the back of our handmade luxury neckties, you will notice the fine silk fabric extends across the entire rear blade of the tie providing an evenly weighted tie, which sits well against the chest. Then a long, thick strand of colored twine or silk thread are used to saddle-stitched and fasten the folds.
You can select silk fabrics from our fabric collection at www.tiesbynelsonwade.com or we can make your custom handmade tie from fabric that you supply to us. Once you have made your selection, we will check and confirm the order. Delivery will be approx 2/3 weeks.
We also offer Three and Six fold handmade neckties from Como, Italy.
Majority of our ties are traditionally created as an Six fold Necktie. In Italy, it is commonly called a Seven Fold Tie. A traditional Seven fold tie is generally constructed with one piece of silk. Seven actual folds are made and often come without necktie interlining or self tipping on the interior back side of the lower portion of the necktie. A unlined seven fold necktie usually does wrinkle and is not wrinkle resistant, as an handmade lined necktie.
